Passion of the Christ

Just watched it with my family including my grandma.

To describe the movie, the word 'gory' is an understatement.. no wait, it is a HUGE understatement. Evidently my aunt cried quite a bit watching the movie(she's a Christian btw) and for the others like me, I was busy playing SnakeII on my handphone during the gruesome, horrifying, skin piercing, flesh-tearing parts.

Oh man, in my opinion it was the worst movie I have ever seen. Nothing against Christianity of course, its just that the gore is too much for me to take. I don't care if that was really what Jesus of Nazareth went through, I mean he might have gone through even more perhaps.. but that was the most torturous movie I have ever caught. I sincerely dislike such gory movies, the gore content is worst than "Half-life" the PC game, Saving Private Ryan, Band of Brothers, various TV documentaries and this documentary I caught on TV the last time.

The last documentary i was talking about was about this "scientist" or whoever, he evidently loves to study of all creatures, bull sharks. Ok so one fine day he got bitten, and they caught it on film, his calf muscle being torn off his leg... by the bullshark.

Bullshark: "Sibeh song ah this is even better than salmon"

Anyway back to the movie, what else can I tell you? Well you can catch it if you're not suffering from heart disease or trauma of any sorts but to all other people like me... forget it. You'll only suffer like me .. arghh

I'm starting to get very irked by this NUS thing already, sounds more and more like some huge scandal/scam to cheat us ..
Unless I work like 10 times harder .. I'm definitely going to cui very fast in NUS. Its starting to go downhill...

Recently there's been a sensitive topic running around, cos TNP the #1 bullshit paper in my opinion, ran a story and talked about this Chinese (by nationality, not by race) who commented on an online forum that his project mate who is a Singaporean was lazy, always played computer games and in my opinion it was an isolated personal attack on a Singaporean project mate. The headlines on TNP practically screamed "Chinese student says "Singapore scholars are lazy, stupid and have pigswill for brains."

If there's anyone who has pigswill for brains, its the stupid TNP reporter in my opinion. After reading the article you realise its a personal attack, then the headlines are screaming such controversial stuff. I really really HATE TNP, its an insult to Singapore press in general.. which other paper can you get that has more than 5 pages of ringtones, chatlines, dunno-what-else stupid crap advertisements? In the forum, others (possibly Chinese) commented that even a guy (may his soul RIP) who got struck by lightning could get into the newspaper frontpage headlines. In their opinion it is incredible that such unimportant news could get into the headlines. To a certain extent you have to agree but hey, we're only such a small state, what do you want?

Possible headlines for them could be.. "Singapore River overflows, flash floods kill 5000 along boat quay."
"NUS students protest against new school fees, 50 arrested, 100 shot, 1000 dispersed with tear gas"
"Singapore joins in the nuclear arms race, new H-bomb invented by Prof Frank Watt (NUS)"

Huge, bushy-tailed squirrel greeted me this morning at the bus stop outside my house. Quite surprised to see that such a nice looking rodent actually existed in a residential environment... Maybe its still feeding off CNY peanuts or stuff like that, must have hoarded a whole warehouse full of thoe peanut crackers.. which would explain its humongous proportions.

I am not a Man Utd fan, ever since Eric Cantona and Peter Schmeichel left the club.
I dislike certain players from Arsenal, especially those who "attacked/provoked/ka cheow/ji siao" Ruud Van Nistelrooy during one of their previous meetings.
I do not dislike Arsenal on the whole, but neither do I like them a lot.. haha

Players I do not like in Arsenal as follows :
1. Martin Keown, cos he's one of those who ka cheow Van Nistelrooy.
2. Theirry Henry, although he's incredibly gifted and has definitely one of the best ball skills in the EPL/whole world, both me and my father agree that he's got that super arrogant look. As my father says " 进球了一点表情都没有。"
Well that's just his style isn't it?
3. Patrick Vieira, a bit too aggressive for my liking, although he's a very good player too.
4. Jens Lehman, always kp why Germany chose Oliver Kahn instead of him. Now he got his answer after the Chelsea match.

Players I think highly of :
1. Kolo Toure, in my opinion one of the best defenders together with Sol Campbell.
2. Dennis Bergkamp, because he doesn't fly.
3. Clinchy or whatever his name is, I can't remember but I think he's very good and promising.

Who can forget Antonio Reyes?
I have to be honest here, he is NOT the next David Beckham, he is NOT anywhere near Beckham's popularity (in the world),
and .. he looks tremendously comical whenever he gets fouled and he gives this very "zer" look at the referee.. I shall call it the ah boy look haha.
Ok but technically he is quite good to say, no stupid over fanciful tricks like Ronaldo (Man Utd), he is very very fast, and over time I think he will be Arsenal's new lethal weapon.

I was watching this channel U program that showcased a few people who are really super duper hardworking and pia, driving taxi in the day and teaching cooking classes by night. He still has to juggle his family, 2 daughters in between. Oh my god how does he do it man.. don't tell me its what Brand's essence of chicken or Yomeishu, I don't buy that! (sounds familiar?)

Another guy is learning how to be a Chinese doctor, and then juggles another job as a foot reflexologist. Really ultra impressed by these people and their hardworkingness. Maybe I lead a life too pampered already that's why I can't get my arse to work.

Ok anyway I will try very hard to remember that many others are having such a tough time and I am so lucky so I must work harder too. Erm, to push the GNP and GDP in future when I join the labour force. So long for now...
