世界末日

Why does the sun go on shining?
Why does the sea rush to shore
Don't they know it's the end of the world
'Cause you don't love me any more?

Why do the birds go on singing?
Why do the stars glow above?
Don't they know it's the end of the world?
It ended when I lost your love.

I wake up in the morning and I wonder
Why ev'rything's the same as it was.
I can't understand, no I can't understand
How life goes on the way it does

Why does my heart go on beating?
Why do these eyes of mine cry?
Don't they know it's the end of the world?
It ended when you said goodbye

Don't they know it's the end of the world?
It ended when you said goodbye.

The Last Samurai

A lengthy, long, extended, panjang, torturous 2 and half hours movie. But I'd have to be lying through my teeth if I said I didn't enjoy it. I would say that the acting was very much above average, notably the guy who was acting as the Samurai Lord. I can say that the movie was really good at invoking emotions and at one point of the movie the music when blended together with the visual images really got me jumping a bit in my seat. With every gunshot, every slash of the sword.. all masterfully portrayed.

Only downside of the movie? Well for the ..testosterone-inclined.. maybe you would wish for a nice rendezvous between Nathan and Taka-san. She's so HOT! Hahaha! Looking at that pearlescent complexion, those 水汪汪的眼睛.. oh my you wished you were born in Japan or something haha! After the movie it was kinda late. It ended at 4pm so after persuasion from TCS, I decided to go home and not attend the lecture after he kindly offered to lend me his lecture notes. As I'm typing this he's probably squeezing with that bootylicious 963 babe again. On the bus and involuntarily, of course.

On the whole today was a WOOHOO day for me

WOOHOO!!!

Vonda Shepard...

Few days ago our platoon or rather bunk had a failed outing to catch a movie. After browsing at Sembawang Music Centre at Cineleisure I came across Amour 2 which a a CD compilation featuring many of those classic love songs which of course are mostly hits. One of them is Vonda Shepard's You belong to me which I recommend to anyone who's feeling stressed or panicky. It has a very jazzy feel to it and kinda soothes my nerves.

Alright as I'm typing this the rain is tinkering off the aircon compressor outside my window... for the nth time where n is a positive integer. I tried to get started on my Physics IV tutorial but the problem is I don't really know how to do it. Bloody Einstein simply had to outdo Newton.. in my opinion. And now we're the poor victims of the great man's brain power.

Come to think of it, the failed movie outing might have been a blessing in disguise.. :)

WOOHOO!!!

Spoof of Eminem's Without Me (Hai~Ren edit)

2 trailer park girls go round the outside
round the outside, round the outside
[Repeat Refrain 1]

[Refrain 2]
Guess whos back, back again
Hai~ren's back, tell a friend
Guess who's back, guess who's back,
guess who's back
Guess who's back...

[Verse 1]
I've created a monster, cuz nobody wants to
see Ivan no more they want Hai~Ren I'm chopped liver
well if you want Hai~Ren, this is what I'll give ya
a little bit of dino mixed with some hard liquor
some vodka that'll jumpstart my heart quicker then a
shock when I get shocked at the hospital by the Dr. when I'm not cooperating
when I'm rocking the table while he's operating
you waited this long now stop debating cuz I'm back,
I'm on the rag and ejaculating(involuntary... in your boxers wahaha)
I know that you got a job SSG Johnny but your husbands heart problem's complicating
So the signal store wont let me be or let me be me so let me see
they tried to shut me down on NDP but it feels so empty without me
So come on and dip, bum on your lips fuck that,
cum on your lips and some on your tits and get ready cuz this shit's about to get heavy
I just said that on my lawsuits
Fark you VEGGIE!!!(ok lah no offence ah.. lol!)

[Chorus X2]
Now this looks like a job for me so everybody just follow me
cuz we need a little controversy,
cuz it feels so empty without me

[Verse 2]
Little hellions kids feeling rebellious
embarrassed, their parents still listen to Elvis(Leslie)
they start feeling like prison is helpless,
'til someone comes along on a mission and yells "bitch"
A visionary, vision is scary, could start a revolution, pollutin the air waves a rebel
so let me just revel and bask, in the fact that I got hardcore spanking my ass
and it's a disaster such a catastrophe for you to see so damn much of my ass you ask for me?
Well I'm back [batman sound]
fix your bent antennae tune it in and then I'm gonna
enter in and up under your skin like a splinter
The center of attention back for the winter
I'm interesting, the best thing since wrestling
Infesting in your kids ears and nesting
Testing "Attention Please" feel the tension soon as someone mentions me
here's my 10 cents my 2 cents is free
A nuisance, who sent, you sent for me?

[Chorus X2]

[Verse 3]
A tisk-it a task-it, I'll go tit for tat with anybody who's talking this and that shit.
BSO you can get your ass kicked
worse than them little S2 branch bastards, and Moby(Chye Hin?)
you can get stomped by Obie(Kandy), you 36 year old bald headed fag blow me
You don't know me, you're too old let go its over, nobody listens to techno(<== WAHAHAHA)
Now lets go, just give me the signal I'll be there with a whole list full of new insults
I've been dope, suspenseful with a pencil ever since
Prince turned himself into a symbol(I been arrowed to do PA system)
But sometimes the shit just seems, everybody only wants to disgust me
So this must mean I'm disgusting, but its just me I'm just obscene
Though I'm not the first king of controversy
I am the worst thing since Chan Heng ***, to do Hentai so selfishly
and use it to get myself horny (Hey!)
there's a concept that works
20 million other Hai~Ren(s)emerge
but no matter how many fish in the sea it'd be so empty without me

Don't blame me for being boliao hahaa !

Rainy day and I went swimming?

Super cold weather today and I was dragged to NUS SRC pool for a short swim with SY. I still count myself lucky I'm not puking water out of my lungs or something like that I was shivering non-stop I think any longer in the pool and I would have died from .. hypothermia or whatever you wanna call it. Pneumonia? Hmnn all the cheem cheem hard to pronounce terms. 肺炎 I think ... is Pneumonia in Chinese.

I'm feeling very full now had 3 plates of spaghetti in total, and just finished downing a rare can of coke. I can't recall when's the last time I drank a can of coke. I need to sleep but I'm too full.. damned..

Listening to: Shut up by Black Eyed Peas (shut up just shut it up, shut up..)
Car of the day: Wacko Jacko's Bentley Arnage red label T. Selling for approximately... 2 million bucks only limited edition. Any takers?

Diary of a 6 year old...

Couldn't resist taking down what my neice wrote in a diary, strictly speaking it was an exercise book. Nevertheless, is just so cute what kids come up with. =)

today is chinese new year i am so happy because there is a money in my eyes. The peaple who give me dollars is a rich peaple. I love my sisters and i love my parents. My dad is handsome and my mother is a princess

This was from the most adorable MT.

"I want to collect ang pao forever, I don't want to get married. If next time got a boy xiang wo qiu hun, I will tell him wo men shi bu ke neng de"

MT on collecting ang paos during CNY.

Hou Nian Chu Er...

The 2nd day of the Lunar New Year was spent being a chauffeur for all personnel who had no private transport and had to be personally whisked off by me to my place. Didn't help that the weather wasn't good for the whole day too, with all that rain pouring down from the heavens.

Played around with more kids this time particularly with Evan and his elder sister Heather, my nephew and neice respectively. It really didn't take long at all for Evan to warm up to me or anybody, he's the type that is super playful and sporting and doesn't cry when handled by strangers. The perfect baby to "pass around" during those family gatherings/wedding dinners etc..

Saw my cousins too most of them haven't changed much, especially YH.. She is totally... the same old stunning and gorgeous her I met every year several years ago. Not that I am interested in her or what (She should be older than me by at least... 5 or 6 years?) but if you see her you might forget you were living on planet Earth for a moment... Ultra chio bu + super duper nice smile and nice manners ... AHH!!!! Haha!

Very soon the house was quite crowded with all the kids runing around, the adults playing blackjack, the elderly people sitting together and chatting over food, the women cooking in the kitchen ... and me walking around with the universal social toolkit which happens to be Evan.. Haha. This year was quite special because I got to catch up with JY, my nephew whom I have lost contact with for the past n years.. (n is an element of positive integers) Found out that he's from the top CS clan in Singapore which is GBR. I think their skill level is around that of.. let's put it this way by just using their headphones, even if you blindfold them they might still win you. Haha! Quite surprised to hear that he's from GBR and was once in their top team and had even gone overseas to take part in competitions before.

At night, I played mahjong with my army friends with JY occasionally switching with me or Ivan for a quick game or two. Playing with such skilled players is always damned stressful because they know how to "guard" you and for good players they will be able to predict who's holding what tiles. We played till 6am and before I knew it everyone was in dreamland after I had my shower. Oh well as Yonghe said, if you can't convince them, join them! So join them I did and that basically marks the end of Hou Nian Chu Er...

Hou Nian Chu Yi...

Highlights of the day include collecting ang paos... greeting relatives and playing around with young kids especially the 1 year old ++ Bryan who is my nephew. Such an adorable young boy he is.. haha couldn't resist pinching his cheeks.

Drove to my aunt's place later on then met up with my aunt and saw my nephew whom I haven't seen in years. He has .. ballooned into not a huge lump of fat.. more like a huge lump of muscle. Its those massive type of physique, not the well-toned type. He has biceps of epic proportions if I may add..

This is a little sidetracked but ... well its one of those kiddy blooper moments. My neice Rachel whom i don't know very well(she's 6) was wearing a pretty cheongsam and sat beside me (or rather my sister whom she was comfortable with). Then my mother had to "ka chiau" her and comment how pretty the cheongsam was then somehow ...

My mother: Waaa so chantek ah... here got pocket one or not? (she points to the .. slit between the 2 layers of cloth that constitutes the fold near the chest area...

My sis: Come see got or not I see...(she gently looks and proceeds to confirm that there is no pocket there)

Apparently one of the buttons/fasteners came loose for the cheongsam and the girl tried to put the cheongsam back into place.. (blame my "irritating obasan-style mother)
Before I knew it, or could react... Rachel somehow ripped open the fold and ... *cue Carmina Burana music...*

My sis: Ahhh kuai dian gai qi lai bu yao gei ren jia kan dao!!!!

Me: ... *attempts to fiddle with a box of tissue paper and be puzzled over the complex atomic structure of tissue paper..*

Yet another episode of kiddy bloopers... haha

Lunar New Year~

On the eve on the Lunar New Year, there's a saying that cihldren can "increase" their parents' longevity if they stay up late until the wee hours. Which I dutifully did, and still do everyday haha .. at this rate they'll live to see humans living on Mars perhaps haha!

Finally completed "Need for Speed: Underground" so now there are technically no games for me to play already. Which is a good thing. No more distractions except Naruto, Full Metal Alchemist, Prince of Tennis and Chrno Chrusade.
Oh well gotta go, time to visit relatives and collect ang pao haha happy new year guys!

Love me..

I was just listening to this sad song by Collin Raye, I think most of the people who read this would have heard of it before. If you haven't go and find and download it (Hint: Click on the box beside my nick on ICQ, you can see what files I have to offer..)

I been reading Henry's blog and its not that I haven't realised it but it just confirmed that we really are getting old already. Remember that song by.. I can't remember who.. (ok I just found out, its by Cliff Richard..)

the young ones... darling we're the young ones...
and the young ones... shouldn't be afraid..
to live.. love.. while the flame is strong...
cos we won't be the young ones.. very long

The last time I sang this song I think it was during field camp in BMT. All of the guys in my section had to go through this ghost walk/blind walk whatever.. and once you were done you could sit down and take a break while waiting for the rest of your section mates to finish. So I didn't mean to start a karaoke session or what but I looked up at the night sky and noticed that the beautiful stars had come out. Never mind if they were part of the Orion Belt, leather belt or whiplash... they were damned beautiful stars...

And so I started...
doom, doom, du du doom doom, du du doom doom, ....
when the night, has come... and the rain has stopped...
and the moon, is the only... light we'll see...
no I won't, be afraid.. no I won't be afraid...
just as long.. as you stand... stand by me...

So darling darling stand.. by me.. oh.. stand by me..
stand by me.. stand by me...

Stand by me - Leopard coy platoon 3 section 1... think originally by.. Neil Armstrong? Huh? Isn't that the first guy on the moon? Somebody verify please..

(Note: Ok.. I got it, Ben E. King's the original singer)

I swear to God(whoever He is) that is one of the top 10 most emotional moments in my life. Up till now, that is.. I'm pretty sure some of us shed a tear or 2 thinking about our girlfriends or family members. Those were the days.. only the stars, the moon and yes.. fireflies. The very first time I saw such a beautiful insect created by Mother Nature.
Where was I?

Yeah, reading Henry's blog I think I share quite a lot of similar thoughts with him. Rather than the hate/angst-ridden blog of Muthu.. haha. Sometimes I think all of us deserve some emotional support from someone you like isn't it? Its just that longing, that yearning to be close with someone, to be able to share, to do stuff together. All I can say is since we're 21 liao.. we might as well change slogan..

LIFE STARTS AT 40!!!!
Hahaha..
Time waits for no one, its up to us to decide how to spend each waking moment... so yeah actually the role model for us to follow I can quite proudly say is really Muthu lor.. Cos' he doesn't care what other people think, he dares to try new stuff, doesn't get put off that easily and despite many people "suan-ing" him, he's taken that all in his stride. Somemore CAP above 4.. *NNB.. you're next (Bill Goldberg style)*

So I guess today's advice is erm.. Do what you want to do. Don't leave room for hesitation in your heart. I'm not talking about ... hesitation for completing tutorials man, if you guys are at that stage then a bit jialat already. More like inter-personal relationships.. where sometimes its a bit scary and you might feel a bit "hum".

So I've decided yeah I will attack my goal with renewed vigour. I'll die getting there or I'll die trying...
Adieu for now.. I shall search for mi corazon...

my first quiz!

Which Naruto Character are You?
quiz by orangeday.net

Chinese New Year shopping...

I haven't done my fair share of CNY shopping yet.. damned. It seemed that every single Chinese person was outdoors yesterday doing their last minute shopping to welcome the Year of the Lao Gao in .. new clothes?
Might as well hold a banana in hand right? But hey, in case its actually apes that eat bananas and monkeys eat other stuff that I haven't heard of...

So.. might as well hold ... palm nut and nut cracker in hand? haha.. does that ring a bell for Muthu?
Ok lah I give up, it came from the latest edition of National geographic magazine (not the walking version).. it has these cute pictures of a MONKEY, brown capulchins (Cebus apella) trying to whack open those palm nuts by raising the nut head high, then slamming it down onto the stony ground. It sure looks very cute/comical/hilarious though.

Sian man.. do tutorials halfway until so bored. Now I'm dreaming the "cai shen ye" or God of Fortune will drop me my AS Roma home jersey somehow during CNY. Oh well.. back to my precious..

More tennis..

Just back from watching TV. Actually it was last year's match but it was a 20 year old Andy Roddick against 31 year old Younes El Alnaoui of Morocco.

To make things simple.. it was a 5 set match. Andy Roddick(USA) def. El Alnaoui(Morocco) 4-6, 7-6, 4-6, 6-4, 21-19 in what can be said to be a record-breaking match. Of course the record broken is longest tennis match since tiebreakers were introduced into the game. Imagine doing shuttle runs for .. 4 hours 59 minutes.

Funniest quote from the commentator..
Commentator A "So what would you rather have at this point of the match? The legs or the experience?" (At this point of time the match has been going on for 4 hours ++ and the game count is around 18-18 into the 5th set.

Commentator B "Well as a matter of fact I would think that the legs would have played a significant role by now but look at Roddick he's certainly not slowed down."

Well well so much for the legs.. lol

Anyways I wouldn't mind playing a 5 hour match with her of course..

Tutorials..

They come for you and they will take it from you! Nooo master, nice Smeagol show you the way to S16... 0599...
There is.. another way... the winding stairs... and then the tunnel...

Guess very soon Sauron (TA) will be taking my precious (tutorial solutions) away... Zzz that's if I can actually be bothered to finish it. Damned I am still so lazy and in holiday mood and thinking about other stuff :(
Bought a pair of shorts today .. quite nice looking, they're from Speedo but could have been a little bit longer though. That's sad, I think I can only use them for sports, preferably tennis right now.

Eliz got me a nice decal from Momo, a set of kiddy-cutie-kawaii highlighters, and a .. clock. Heh.. but that's so nice of her isn't it? On Friday I actually attended school without bringing my pencil case. Really getting very blur but that's because I'm switching school bags all the time. If you wanna call it fashion so be it.

Interesting news I've seen recently, the Straits Times price is going up, now it will cost 80 cents if you buy it from news stands. Also the black rapper Mystikal is going to jail for forcing some poor woman to perform some oral sex on him. He's going in for a cool 6 years together with his bodyguards who got 3 and 4 years respectively. Having studied in NHSS for 4 years, I didn't have the chance to eat Western food for lunch. Now the very first batch of NHSS students who had the chance to have spaghetti for lunch all suffered food poisoning. I personally find this a bit ... scary yet hilarious. Maybe the water in the new NHSS campus is dirty or something.. you never know.

Cars of the day: Nissan 350Z (Fairlady Z), Honda NSX Coupe, the all new Nissan Cefiro, and a first generation Mini.
Song of the day: Oh well I was fairly bored on the bus ride home so hummed a little of Brian McKnight's 6, 8, 12 to myself.

Year of the "lao gao"

Check out this story, haha I've seen them around too!

I'm just wondering, is there by any chance that someone who reads this blog knows how to play the guitar? I'm not talking about Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana kind of guitar. I'm talking about "Mary had a little lamb" kind of guitar.. haha!

Right now whenever I'm boliao (bored) I do the following...
1. Sleep!
2. Stone/read other random blogs
3. Watch more anime
4. Mow/water/weed the plants and the grass
5. Find something to eat
6. Play (try to play) the guitar
7. SMS and bug other people (esp her)

Since I formatted my desktop PC I can proudly say that I do NOT have a single game on my computer with the exception of the default "Solitaire, pinball, minesweeper". Sometimes its quite blank and boring but I figured that if I became too bored I would touch on my homework instead which was what happened yesterday night. Therefore I appeal to all those who do not have very good discipline to just give it up and uninstall all the games on your computer. That way, you won't be addicted to any stupid games and waste your time online. Then again I'm always online trying to stalk people, acting busy when I've nothing to do etc etc...

It is probably true that I am addicted to the Internet. Without my Internet connection I think I would go mad very soon. Probably I would start talking to the walls, build a SOC in my house and run around till I'm tired then I'll sleep. I wonder why is it that TV doesn't attract me at all nowadays. The only TV shows worth watching nowadays, in my "honest-est" opinion are perhaps the news, the sports programs, some of the nature documentaries, the travel destination "documentary", Band of Brothers on Channel 5, and maybe Who wants to be a millionaire on Channel 5/8.

Local TV sitcoms/dramas/serials/soaps/whatever you want to call them are really getting a bit too monotonous. First there was Holland V. which I recall was vaguely entertaining, now there's this new one about Toa Payoh. Jesus Christ what's next? Bukit Panjang? Bukit Batok? Sengkang? Buangkok? Jurong West? Tampines? Pulau Tekong? How long do they need to realise that the same concept probably doesn't work twice? I think most of the viewers who watch it, do so because its the only Mandarin channel accessible to them. Isn't it? Unless you subscribe to the other channels on Cable TV like Phoenix and TVB or stuff like that.

TV puts me off nowadays. I'd rather go and surf the news on Yahoo! instead. So much for ranting about TV, I'll talk about radio instead. There was a song called "Video killed the radio star" by Presidents of the USA (I think they are not the original singers?) Think this is largely false in the Singapore context.

I would say that the local radio scene has evolved considerably and is much more enjoyable than watching TV!! For Mediacorp Radio I think they made a good yet controversial choice to switch Glenn Ong and Rod Monteiro over to Class 95 FM. Now its "Crass 95 FM" but nevertheless I think it has spiced up FD's morning show considerably. Many a time I hear people trying to stifle their guffaws on NUS' shuttle buses in the morning. Yes 93.3 FM is also doing well with the ever dependable formula of Chinese pop sprinkled with an occasional J-pop or K-pop hit. One of my favourite stations after Class 95. There's a number of other stations like 95.8 FM which caters to the older age group, I listen to it quite often actually because its the default radio station on my dad's van. Sometimes its quite interesting to listen to what people of the older generation have to say and more often than not, the DJs dispense out many useful advice which are very applicable to real life such as finance, studies, travelling, etc etc..
I must mention WKRZ 91.3 FM cos I think its Ivan's favourite radio station isn't it? What else but a blend of techno/dance/trance/house/toomz toomz music to get his fastest legs kicking and running? Haha!

Just had lunch with my bestest friend haha. Even if you don't get to read this, thanks a lot for the gift I really appreciate it. Feeling a bit guilty that I seem to be always on the receiving end instead of the giving end.

I shall try to ... revise a bit of stuff today yeah and I'll be a good boy all the way and crush all those with CAP 4 and above this semester! On or not BUDDY????? Wahaha!!

Car of the day: Toyota Camry 2.4 VVTi ("Zeng-ed" by Full Bloom) with full body kit and subtle rear spoiler. Oooomph~!

Tomorrow will just be another tomorrow

GAHH I'm so frickin' bored I'm doing my Maths & Physics tutorials ..
Ok, did I mention I was bored? GAHHH!!!!!!!!

This semester's timetable is a bit fugged up I would prefer last sem's although there was a pathetic 6-8 pm lecture on SS. When can I play tennis again.. zzz
*stress* *stress*

Wednesday, January 14, 2004

I can't concentrate!

Alright I've put a link to the "social escort" blog. The details are getting very juicy *gulp*

Early morning Economics lecture again its getting deeper with each lecture (of course lah duh) think if I don't put in some effort to digest or revise I will be lost pretty soon. Seems like whenever there are early lessons (like 8am) my stomach will always be very jittery and give lots of funny signals to me. Maybe its just the the cool weather is a bit too much for my body to take?

On a happier (hornier) note, TCS(my friend lah!) told me that the bootylicious babe who leaned very close to me takes 963 home every Tuesday at 6+ anyway so if anyone wants to stalk her please go ahead haha! *I am so evil*

As I was telling TCS today, "wah biang talk to you head have to turn like owl's head 180 degrees back if not I'll be talking to her boobs instead..."

TCS:"diao... why didn't you tell me.. "

Me:"siao ah how to tell you she can hear everything I say what!"

Haha, speaking of which (boobs) I recall this video clip of Robert DeNiro which I sent to some of you guys. I laughed so hard when I watched it. Yeah and there's a terrorist called Grabir Boubi (Grab your booby) Hahaha!

Tuesday, January 13, 2004

I hate Tuesdays...

Zzz.. longest day of the week just passed. After listening to my lecturer enthusiastically go on and on about Albert Einstein's special theory of relativity I seriously developed a splitting headache on the right side of my head.

I really really hate Tuesdays.. Dr Yap finally finished his ultra boring lecure on functions and such uninteresting stuff 10 minutes from 6pm. Due to the lousy timing, I could only board the 4th bus that came my way. Well but had some eye candy on the bus ride home while I was talking to TCS. Its not like I really wanted to stare but she bloody lean so close to me until I was a bit uncomfortable! Standard would definitely be good enough to go onto FHM's cover lah! Haha don't be jealous :)

My rubbery Philips earphones are also falling apart and that makes me damn pissed. I've already spent a lot of money this week and I intend to save as much as possible to make up for that! (Contact lenses $80, petrol $36++)
Walk halfway and the earphone will start to disintegrate, it is so irritating and frustrating ...
I've probably spent most money on .. spectacles and earphones in my life. As in I've wasted the most money on such crappy stuff.

I think I shall play tennis on Friday after school at 6pm + so that I won't have to fight with the stupid bloody crowd. Hmph!
Tomorrow (later today) is gonna be the longest day of the week again :***
(asterisks represent white foam..)

Recently I've been reading Blogger's "blogs we've noticed". One of them is a blog about the life of a .. "social escort"?
Whatever that means.. well its kind of carnal, her adventures I mean but nevertheless quite an interesting read. In fact, I think its highly intellectual stuff haha. Well just a warning to people (esp. Hai~Ren) the content is quite erotic anyway hehe.

Well from her site you can actually notice that there is quite a big community of people who actually blog about their sexual escapades or whatever.. which is quite new to me. Maybe its because I'm stuck in such a conservative country. Well can't blame me for being a mama's boy but this is really a good avenue to .. get used to the idea that in the 21st century sex isn't a taboo subject anymore. At least in other countries~

I think I won't be able to concentrate for tomorrow's lecture :(
This is bad, very bad...

Monday, January 12, 2004

Hmnn anyway the second Porsche at my neighbourhood here is really unheard of. Its the only such model I've seen in Singapore so far. 928 S 4
Well think that model is definitely out of production already but it looks so cool man. Super low profile tyres, slightly tinted windows, no ugly huge ah-bengish spoilers... just a very sleek and menacing looking car.

I must say beach volleyball is really quite fun and easier than I thought it was. Beach soccer is great for a quadricep and hamstring workout, it is such a cardiovascular challenge!! Overall I would give the Sentosa outing 9/10. Even without girls, that is cos' we had so much fun by ourselves!

Is there a perfect way to study? Or rather, is there a perfect, effortless way to get good results in studies? Guess not...

Reading my Mathematics notes is really a bit mind-boggling already.
Your mouth just gapes when you're supposed to figure how to equate 0.499999.. = 0.5
Using some very lame manipulations you'll eventually be able to get it anyway~

I'm very proud of my desktop wallpaper now I have changed it from the "Barcelona can wait" picture to the engine bay of a Porsche 911 GT3. (To make it simpler for the "animally inclined"... its something like sawing open a whale shark's belly and having a good view of its innards etc etc, yeah I got that on discovery channel)

Animesuki.com is down by the way, which means I can't check if there's any new episode of Naruto or not.. damned!! I am so bloody addicted to Naruto, its possibly worse than nicotine and heroin combined! Speaking of which I just finished chatting with PC, and egging him on to kick his smoking habit. It isn't really a bad habit for me, its more like a health issue especially when I go out with him I would really appreciate not walking behind him and into the permanent cloud of smoke.
Not to mention he isn't exactly very well-off either, the previous time he bought a pack I remember it cost $7++ and he was cursing and swearing cos the GST had already increased overnight. $7, I could do so much with it man. Cut down 2 packs a month can eat 15 days supper, play jackpot 90 times, buy 4D, well that's not the point but you could spend the money on something better than blowing away your life, that's what my cousin told me before I was enlisted. That was one of the things I constantly reminded myself when I saw army people smoking like there was no tomorrow.

I think the exact words he told me was, "Most guys pick up smoking in army because there's nothing much to do so just blow smoke lor! You better pick up something useful in army and spend your time constructively inside if not you'll end up blowing smoke together with them too."

Its tough to comprehend what actually makes a non-smoker try his first stick but I can say up till now in my 21+ years of life I haven't been tempted much to try to learn how to smoke. (Heng ah buddy you never end up a smoker leh..)

To all those who are reading this blog (think I can count with 1 hand haha) if you're a smoker, try to kick it. The $ factor should be enough.. for the non-smokers, well... curiousity killed the cat (except my buddy lah)

Listening to Jay Chou - Eastern Wind Break (Eastern fart?)
Dong Feng Puo

Is there such a hanyu pinyin "puo"? Anyone can advise? I wanted to put "po" but it looked weird... at least to me~!

Hmnn.. this blog is soon turning into a bumping record..
I forgot to mention I bumped into Shiwu (pri sch classmate) outside LT 9!!! Wahaha!

Damned I have to re-edit this post because I forgot to mention I bumped into Shitian (JJC classmate) Haha!
Just back from a very boring Thursday at school :(
Had lecture in morning then went to Arts to meet SY for lunch. Then we bumped into our Nquaz AC Xinning. Hmnn more bumping to follow. Happily having lunch and lo and behold, I saw Derek, the trusty 42 COPA!!! Wow he's back from Lyon and sputtering French all over the shop (ok he didn't sputter French lah haha!)

Nice to see an old friend so anyway he sat down beside the 2 of us, I gave the introductions and we continued our meal while Derek talked a bit about life in France. Soon he whipped out his digital camera and SY started browsing his pictures and realised that she knows Derek's gf! And that his gf had mentioned that her bf was in France, so the nutty girl starts cracking up and laughing and laughing while I'm trying not to choke on my chicken cutlet. Soon the 2 girls meet up and start yakking in the "girly" style... Full of hand symbols, patting, hair pulling.. (no lah I made that one up) but you should know what I mean lah. Which led the Derek to grunt out philosophically "Girls will be girls... sighhh"

Haha!

As with my buddy Vincent, we share elvish kind of marksmanship vision so actually during all this time I had already zero-ed in on a girl sitting opposite me but 1 "storey" above us which I guess is called the Earth level. I think I really haven't let SAF down, still practising my zero-ing everyday hehe. No prizes for guessing who that was anyway but after lunch when we left the canteen bumped into her again.

Ok.. anyway just to "brag" if you call it brag...
Actually I met Alvin at Engineering on Tuesday, he's my secondary school classmate. And Jeryl at LT 11 for our Econs lecture ( secondary sch classmate too). During my way home on ... Tuesday I think, bumped into my mother's worker at Clementi haha.

That's all for the record.. haha yeah and Dino I saw you on Monday!
I'm going to sleep soon so this shall be a short one. Had a lecture 8 till 10 today before I went home. My sis didn't use the car so I drove, and stopped by at Bukit Panjang Plaza to visit the library.
Hoping to borrow some elementary economics books but seems most of them are in the reference section. Oh well, went to McDonald's and bought a meal for myself before proceeding back to the carpark where I had parked Scooby illegally.

First thing I saw was "Da Tou Yao Guai".... ARGHH DAMNED this time siao liao confirmed kena the parking offence summons. I dragged my feet gloomily, sigh... the van nearest to me tio already and dearest Fatimah was walking away from me, and that means she has already booked my poor scooby.

Next, Suzuki Swift had season parking sticker on so no summons. Next, a Toyota, also no summons. I was thinking "Die liao, park in red zone somemore because I was lazy, and didn't tear coupon somemore."

Anyway even if I had used the coupon I was not a season parking ticket holder so I would get the summons anyway so well, might as well hiong all the way!

It must have been that I've been too good a boy recently, but somehow the carpark attendant decided not to book me. What luck! Too bad didn't strike yesterday's 4D!

The past 2 days I've been bumping into so many people by chance...
Today bumped into Mingding my OG-mate + 42 batallion-mate. After that was Zhibao (NDP 96 group leader) together with his girlfriend. His girlfriend is the type that seemed to have walked out of FHM sexiest 100 magazine ... really stunning in flesh.. haha!

On the way to engineering fac met Vincent (Nquaz OGL and his girlfriend)

On the way to EA 06-03 met Wah Weiming, he was going for tennis action.

Amazingly enough, I ended up going for the same lecture with Vincent!?

And inside the lecture I met Christian (FOW Dy OGL) who was there accompanying his friend for fun.

Then it was Jeffrey Nanhua-mate + soccer kaki after the GEK1524 lecture.

Hmnnn this is quite fun.. wonder who will I bump into next?!
Uh uh uh its the Monday + first day of the semester blues. Saw lotsa babes at the LT today who are bound to disappear after today. (Hope they push me up to A...*snigger*)
After the incredibly torturous 2 hour lecture, I finally regrouped my senses and went for lunch at Arts.. and I saw a Dino walking on the road towards Arts direction too. (Fastest legs at work again I reckon..)
Haha, not bad reached Arts was quite amazed there were seats at the lowest level. Before that I bumped into 2 Nquaz councillors yeah and the guy half of the couple cheerily greeted me, "Hey Momo!"

Whatever happened to my name sia... haha! Looks like this nick is a bit too popular already. Had lunch with my "major-mates", ate the chicken cutlet thing. Hmnn did Jingkai pay me for his chicken stew rice? Oh no ... I really have short-term memory loss nowadays.
Saw my Nquaz OG-mate, BMT section mate but he didn't see me and then saw my Nanhua schoolmate Colin. Apparently keeping some "cai" company but die die don't want to admit haha! Kena caught red-handed by me.

I had a nice chat with her just now, but something still doesn't feel quite right. I don't know... seems like.. calm before the storm? Haha no that's not it.

Anyway to lighten up the bluey mood, here's a link for a good laugh I can almost guarantee it..

Erm... I think I'm suffering from the "If I can't have you, I don't want nobody baby~" syndrome..
Can't get that retro song out of my head. Anyone who has it send me? Haha!

To start off 2004, I'm really feeling a little confused. Anyway I got all the modules I wanted so I wasted only 5 points to get 5 modules yeah hope I'll do well for all of them.

The tennis session was ok I thought but we could have used a couple more balls. Later on drove us to West Mall to have our very late lunch and I had to go off early cos I already had an appointment with the army guys. I wonder what would have happened if I chose to stay on.. probably nothing much anyway. Haha!

I wonder when will the the next session be or if there will be any next session at all. This probably is the first and last time I got so close to her. School's starting on Monday, today's Friday. Saturday I'm on standby and Sunday ... I don't know. Should I try again or just live my own life?

Life is certainly boring these few days. :(

Alright I'm in the mood to CRUSH all those with CAP > 4 right now.. haha! Joking...
Just had my first "pong pong" of 2004 I guess now is a good time to look back at 2003. Its been a long year and a memorable one....

The start of 2003 was celebrated at Sentosa with lots and lotsa people partying around. Among the big activities in 2003, when I was still serving my National Service...
LRI - Logistics Readiness Inspection. Had a not so wonderful but memorable time doing lots of work inside 42's signal store together with platoon-mates like PC, Weiming, Alan, Chin, Chew, Beng, Henry basically almost everyone. Its always shit that bonds the men closer together...
Wargames - Well basically an exercise that is more of a simulation to test commanders' abilities. Had loads of free time at the wargame center, I read lots of books, sent lots of SMS, ate lots of canteen food. I also came to discover the very selfless side of LCP Tan Chee Heng, the "picture boy". Credit must also be given to Sgt. Jonathan too.. I admire his working attitude very much.
PA Larenius camp - I went for an orientation camp conducted by NUS Political Association where I made many friends, had lots of fun(kinky), took lots of photos and learned a lot about the lifestyle of varsity undergraduates. I also met a certain someone but until now I guess I still have a very vague impression of her.
ORD - Operationally Ready Date. Well after plucking my wisdom teeth ( 2 of the 4 of them) and clearing lots and lots of my leave and off days, I went back to camp and collected my precious, beloved, much adored and missed pink IC in perhaps can only be described as ... one of the most unfashionable manners possible. No big hoohaa, no buffet, no COC parade, no BX/AMX13/M113 saluting me for my 2 1/2 years of service. Oh well...
Matriculation - Just another day that marked the start of my undergoing as a freshman in NUS. Nothing happened much just that I was kinda shocked to see so many girls in Science.
Exams - I had one of the shortest, most tightly packed timetables around for my exams. Five exams in four days and I guess the hectic schedule really did take its toll on me on the last day of the exams.. I couldn't sit very still and was very very uncomfortable during the last paper.
Hmnn what else... maybe other events would include Henry's departure to the USA.. the birthday... my birthday... guess that's about it. I've had a great year, not many asthma attacks, still alive and kickin' and bitchin', and yeah I got all my modules.. :)

Have a blessed 2004 folks, be it in monetary terms, health, love, studies...
Lastly I just wanted to comment that on channel 5 just now, this star search finalist when asked what her New Year wish was....

"yay!!! World peace!! No War!!!"

I laughed my guts out but well she's pretty :) I mean no offence at all though.. hehe. Oh I must add another resolution, ... try to learn basic spanish so I can travel there next time!
