If I am going to do better this semester, I should set myself a curfew, a sleeping curfew to be exact. I think I will set it at 1am for now I'll try hard to follow it so that I can wake up in time for the frickin-hell-inhumanly-timed 8am lectures.
Went to meet Jay and her friends, ok they are my friends as well so we went to meet our friends for a late night coffee/tea/talk crap session. Ended up in Holland V and something .. worth mentioning happened. The shop was called Essential Brew or Brews.. anyway if you want to sit upstairs you have to remove your footwear and the place is designed in such a way that.. ok this might be incorrect but the first thing that came to my mind was this looked like ...
1. An opium den
2. "Traditional" Japanese living room
I should try to explain myself further.. when I went upstairs the first thing I saw was this guy with long hair, his fringe was all over his face, it was almost covering his eyes and he was slouching so low against the wall he was almost horizontal. I almost thought I saw an imaginary opium pipe in his mouth but ok I was hallucinating or something.. wahaha!
The furniture was all meant to create a cosier environment in my opinion although it would inconvenient ladies in skirts in general like J for that night. Basically you sit on the floor, they give you a cushion to rest your butt on and the table is also a low table so it roughly resembles the "traditional" Japanese living room I suppose.
But that's not the highlight, apparently after some time our friend Sia noticed with her.. acute sense of smell that someone around us had a case of .. tadah! Athlete's foot! Ok lah, it was just a "horrigible" smell.. gross! Did I mention I had the honour of catching a small whiff of the posionous, odourous vapour emanating from some other guy/gal's beautiful "10 digits"? Somehow Sia has a really good sense of smell (unfortunate in this case though) so she detected that the foul, acrid smell was drifting from.. A GIRL! GAH!!!
Ok, and supposing that she's right about that, the girl was apparently dressed to kill.. her clothes were semi-translucent or something like that, I didn't get much of a look though because she was behind me and.. facing her would mean facing the odour too.. wahaha! Well that would be a total turn-off for her date for that night or her friends.. gross!
To help fellow readers with their stinko foot problems, may I recommend some nice products to take good care of your feet...
1. The almighty PUMICE STONE, you can get it from Watson's I suppose or Body Shop for that matter. Its a godsend for anyone who wants... to remove dead skin and gross stuff from their feet. I don't have a foot fetish or anything but the feeling of freshly, clean n squeakily scrubbed soles is really quite shiok. For those who don't know what I'm talking about, its just an abrasive stone that you scrub against your feet, damn shiok. Highly recommended for all humans!~
2. Foot scrubs, available as a gel like substance, packaging is similar to facial wash types. Supposedly after using them your feet feels smooth and soft but I tried my sister's once and I didn't like it because it left an oily feeling on it. Oh well she told me she soaps off the oily feeling and its shiok but I didn't try it again..
3. Foot powder. In my opinion, SAF foot powder doesn't help, using baby powder like the Kodomo brand (my favourite) really gives your feet a smooth feeling. Just don't fall down! Don't use Snake powder on areas of your anatomy where you are going to sweat by the way, because from past experience a vile odour will result from mixture of sweat + snake powder. Its just like sweat and perfume don't mix..
Right, Professor Footy gotta go and rest now for tomorrow Quantum mechanics lecture where I will attempt to increase the strength of lecture group to 3! Namely, the lecturer A/Prof Dagomir Kazlikowski, "Ah Zhuai", and myself.
Oh, to the Sleepy Walrus, hope you find luck in love(you prolly heard this 12395123 times already..) but well, I'm sure the wait will be worth it. Keep in contact!
