Just back from watching TV. Actually it was last year's match but it was a 20 year old Andy Roddick against 31 year old Younes El Alnaoui of Morocco.
To make things simple.. it was a 5 set match. Andy Roddick(USA) def. El Alnaoui(Morocco) 4-6, 7-6, 4-6, 6-4, 21-19 in what can be said to be a record-breaking match. Of course the record broken is longest tennis match since tiebreakers were introduced into the game. Imagine doing shuttle runs for .. 4 hours 59 minutes.
Funniest quote from the commentator..
Commentator A "So what would you rather have at this point of the match? The legs or the experience?" (At this point of time the match has been going on for 4 hours ++ and the game count is around 18-18 into the 5th set.
Commentator B "Well as a matter of fact I would think that the legs would have played a significant role by now but look at Roddick he's certainly not slowed down."
Well well so much for the legs.. lol
Anyways I wouldn't mind playing a 5 hour match with her of course..
