Year of the "lao gao"

Check out this story, haha I've seen them around too!

I'm just wondering, is there by any chance that someone who reads this blog knows how to play the guitar? I'm not talking about Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana kind of guitar. I'm talking about "Mary had a little lamb" kind of guitar.. haha!

Right now whenever I'm boliao (bored) I do the following...
1. Sleep!
2. Stone/read other random blogs
3. Watch more anime
4. Mow/water/weed the plants and the grass
5. Find something to eat
6. Play (try to play) the guitar
7. SMS and bug other people (esp her)

Since I formatted my desktop PC I can proudly say that I do NOT have a single game on my computer with the exception of the default "Solitaire, pinball, minesweeper". Sometimes its quite blank and boring but I figured that if I became too bored I would touch on my homework instead which was what happened yesterday night. Therefore I appeal to all those who do not have very good discipline to just give it up and uninstall all the games on your computer. That way, you won't be addicted to any stupid games and waste your time online. Then again I'm always online trying to stalk people, acting busy when I've nothing to do etc etc...

It is probably true that I am addicted to the Internet. Without my Internet connection I think I would go mad very soon. Probably I would start talking to the walls, build a SOC in my house and run around till I'm tired then I'll sleep. I wonder why is it that TV doesn't attract me at all nowadays. The only TV shows worth watching nowadays, in my "honest-est" opinion are perhaps the news, the sports programs, some of the nature documentaries, the travel destination "documentary", Band of Brothers on Channel 5, and maybe Who wants to be a millionaire on Channel 5/8.

Local TV sitcoms/dramas/serials/soaps/whatever you want to call them are really getting a bit too monotonous. First there was Holland V. which I recall was vaguely entertaining, now there's this new one about Toa Payoh. Jesus Christ what's next? Bukit Panjang? Bukit Batok? Sengkang? Buangkok? Jurong West? Tampines? Pulau Tekong? How long do they need to realise that the same concept probably doesn't work twice? I think most of the viewers who watch it, do so because its the only Mandarin channel accessible to them. Isn't it? Unless you subscribe to the other channels on Cable TV like Phoenix and TVB or stuff like that.

TV puts me off nowadays. I'd rather go and surf the news on Yahoo! instead. So much for ranting about TV, I'll talk about radio instead. There was a song called "Video killed the radio star" by Presidents of the USA (I think they are not the original singers?) Think this is largely false in the Singapore context.

I would say that the local radio scene has evolved considerably and is much more enjoyable than watching TV!! For Mediacorp Radio I think they made a good yet controversial choice to switch Glenn Ong and Rod Monteiro over to Class 95 FM. Now its "Crass 95 FM" but nevertheless I think it has spiced up FD's morning show considerably. Many a time I hear people trying to stifle their guffaws on NUS' shuttle buses in the morning. Yes 93.3 FM is also doing well with the ever dependable formula of Chinese pop sprinkled with an occasional J-pop or K-pop hit. One of my favourite stations after Class 95. There's a number of other stations like 95.8 FM which caters to the older age group, I listen to it quite often actually because its the default radio station on my dad's van. Sometimes its quite interesting to listen to what people of the older generation have to say and more often than not, the DJs dispense out many useful advice which are very applicable to real life such as finance, studies, travelling, etc etc..
I must mention WKRZ 91.3 FM cos I think its Ivan's favourite radio station isn't it? What else but a blend of techno/dance/trance/house/toomz toomz music to get his fastest legs kicking and running? Haha!

Just had lunch with my bestest friend haha. Even if you don't get to read this, thanks a lot for the gift I really appreciate it. Feeling a bit guilty that I seem to be always on the receiving end instead of the giving end.

I shall try to ... revise a bit of stuff today yeah and I'll be a good boy all the way and crush all those with CAP 4 and above this semester! On or not BUDDY????? Wahaha!!

Car of the day: Toyota Camry 2.4 VVTi ("Zeng-ed" by Full Bloom) with full body kit and subtle rear spoiler. Oooomph~!
