I was just listening to this sad song by Collin Raye, I think most of the people who read this would have heard of it before. If you haven't go and find and download it (Hint: Click on the box beside my nick on ICQ, you can see what files I have to offer..)
I been reading Henry's blog and its not that I haven't realised it but it just confirmed that we really are getting old already. Remember that song by.. I can't remember who.. (ok I just found out, its by Cliff Richard..)
the young ones... darling we're the young ones...
and the young ones... shouldn't be afraid..
to live.. love.. while the flame is strong...
cos we won't be the young ones.. very long
The last time I sang this song I think it was during field camp in BMT. All of the guys in my section had to go through this ghost walk/blind walk whatever.. and once you were done you could sit down and take a break while waiting for the rest of your section mates to finish. So I didn't mean to start a karaoke session or what but I looked up at the night sky and noticed that the beautiful stars had come out. Never mind if they were part of the Orion Belt, leather belt or whiplash... they were damned beautiful stars...
And so I started...
doom, doom, du du doom doom, du du doom doom, ....
when the night, has come... and the rain has stopped...
and the moon, is the only... light we'll see...
no I won't, be afraid.. no I won't be afraid...
just as long.. as you stand... stand by me...
So darling darling stand.. by me.. oh.. stand by me..
stand by me.. stand by me...
Stand by me - Leopard coy platoon 3 section 1... think originally by.. Neil Armstrong? Huh? Isn't that the first guy on the moon? Somebody verify please..
(Note: Ok.. I got it, Ben E. King's the original singer)
I swear to God(whoever He is) that is one of the top 10 most emotional moments in my life. Up till now, that is.. I'm pretty sure some of us shed a tear or 2 thinking about our girlfriends or family members. Those were the days.. only the stars, the moon and yes.. fireflies. The very first time I saw such a beautiful insect created by Mother Nature.
Where was I?
Yeah, reading Henry's blog I think I share quite a lot of similar thoughts with him. Rather than the hate/angst-ridden blog of Muthu.. haha. Sometimes I think all of us deserve some emotional support from someone you like isn't it? Its just that longing, that yearning to be close with someone, to be able to share, to do stuff together. All I can say is since we're 21 liao.. we might as well change slogan..
LIFE STARTS AT 40!!!!
Hahaha..
Time waits for no one, its up to us to decide how to spend each waking moment... so yeah actually the role model for us to follow I can quite proudly say is really Muthu lor.. Cos' he doesn't care what other people think, he dares to try new stuff, doesn't get put off that easily and despite many people "suan-ing" him, he's taken that all in his stride. Somemore CAP above 4.. *NNB.. you're next (Bill Goldberg style)*
So I guess today's advice is erm.. Do what you want to do. Don't leave room for hesitation in your heart. I'm not talking about ... hesitation for completing tutorials man, if you guys are at that stage then a bit jialat already. More like inter-personal relationships.. where sometimes its a bit scary and you might feel a bit "hum".
So I've decided yeah I will attack my goal with renewed vigour. I'll die getting there or I'll die trying...
Adieu for now.. I shall search for mi corazon...
